Dr. Amanda Sappington was born and raised here in Canyon, TX, and graduated from WTAMU with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry and is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.
Dr. Sappington examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures as well as identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye. She is an eye health care professional who is state-licensed to diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the eye and visual system.
Dr. Sappington is excited to offer sports vision therapy to enhance the visual responses for athletes of all kinds – from baseball to archery or even cattle roping! She also has a passion for ocular disease, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration and will work closely with your physician to manage diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Sappington and her husband, Jarrett, have three children, Avan, Camden and Trinity. She is a member of Living Water Christian Fellowship and is so happy to be back at home serving her community.
